Hong Kong Style Soy Sauce Chicken
Redefining Recipes for the Digital Age
Ingredients
Half a fresh chicken
3 tablespoons
soy sauce
2 tablespoons
dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon
oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
brown sugar
1 tablespoon
cooking wine
2 teaspoons
oil
Subtle white pepper
Sliced ginger
4
green onions
Steps
Start by pouring boiling water over the chicken. This step helps tighten the chicken skin and makes the meat more tender. Drain the water afterwards
While cooling down the chicken, mix all the sauces into a small plate
Pour and rub the sauces over the chicken. If you can, use toothpick/knife to poke holes on the chicken so that it can be marinated more thoroughly
Leave for at least 30 minutes to marinate
Layer the cooker with ginger slices and chopped green onions
Put the marinate chicken on top and start the cooker to quick cooking mode
Once done, cut them into pieces and serve. Enjoy!
