Burnt Chillies Tofu Beef Pot (燒椒豆腐牛肉煲)

Ingredients
- 10 green chillies

- 500 g beef

- 1 soft tofu

- 2 small red chillies

- 1 garlic (minced)


- Pinch of sugar

- Pinch of white pepper

- 2 tablespoon soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

- 1 tablespoon corn starch

Steps
- Start by removing the green chilli tips

- In a clean pan, grill the chillies in medium heat until browned and softened

- In the meantime, cut the beef into thin slices and marinate with sugar, white pepper, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce and corn starch

- Once the green chillies are done grilling, finely chop them into small bits

- Cut the tofu into small cubes, blanch in boiling water for about a minute and reserve

- In a heated pan with oil, start by frying the minced garlic and small red chillies

- Add in the crushed green chillies and fry together

- Add a pinch of sugar and the remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce

- Reserve 1/3 in a separate plate

- Add in about 300 mL boiling water. Once boiled, turn down to low heat

- Add in the beef slice by slice

- And turn the heat back up to cook thoroughly

- In a clay pot, place the tofu at the bottom, and pour the chilli beef broth over it

- Let boil to thicken up the soup

- Once to your desired thickness, add in the remaining 1/3 chilli sauce and done!
