Scallion Garlic Oil Pork Steak

This pork steak is all about big, mouth-watering aroma: pork shoulder seasoned with soy sauce, cooking wine, and black pepper, then finished with a punchy scallion–garlic sesame oil sauce. It’s savoury, glossy, and seriously satisfying—exactly the kind of dish that makes the whole kitchen smell incredible.
Ingredients
Steps
- Start by using the back of the knife to flatten the pork shoulders

- Add in all the seasonings under “marinate”, rub in pork shoulder until absorbed. Marinate for 2 hours

- Prepare the sauce by mixing everything under “sauce”

- In a lightly oiled pan, fry the marinated pork shoulders until charred

- Rest it on chopping board for 5 minutes and slice it into strips. P.S. do not worry if it seems undercooked at this stage because it is going back to the pan again.

- In the same pan, put back sliced pork shoulder and lay the sauce on. Cover with lid to let cook for further 5 minutes on medium low heat

- Lastly, serve and enjoy!
