Apple Stewed Pork Chop

Apple, cinnamon, pork chop all in one. Tender pork bursting with sweet apple flavour.

- Lightly season both sides of the pork shoulder with salt and black pepper

- Prepare all the other ingredients like so

- In a lightly oiled pan, sear the pork shoulder until slightly charred

- Add in garlic and alcohol, let evaporate and set it aside

- In the same pan, sear onion until softens and add in apple slices

- Also add in a bit of salt, cinnamon and brown sugar. After that, also add in soy sauce, vinegar and about 50 mL of water

- Add the pork shoulder back in the pan, and let simmer for 15 minutes with medium low heat

- After 15 minutes, turn up the heat to allow sauce to thicken up

- Lastly, serve with either rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
