Beef Stew with Radish

Beef stew with radish is a home-style dish made by stewing beef and radish for a long time. The finished product has tender beef, sweet and flavorful radish, and a refreshing and smooth soup. It is rich in flavor and nutrients.
Ingredients
- 80 gram Hoisin Sauce (Best served with hoisin sauce)

- 15 gram Sesame paste (Peanut butter is even better.)

- 10 gram scallions

- 20 gram

- 10 gram Salt

- 8 gram crystal sugar

- 15 gram Light Soy Sauce

- 2 star anise

- 6 piece Ginger

- 6 grain Garlic

- 1.2 Kilogram Beef short ribs

- 1.5 root radish

Steps
- Cut the beef into chunks, put them in cold water, and bring to a boil over high heat.

- Skim off any foam until the water boils.

- Rinse the beef with warm water

- Squeeze out excess water from the beef

- Cut the scallions into three pieces.

- Smash the garlic cloves with a knife.

- Sliced ginger

- Pour oil along the edge of the pan.

- Add scallions, ginger, and garlic to cold oil and stir-fry over high heat.

- Once the oil starts to bubble, turn the heat to medium.

- Stir-fry until golden brown, then reduce heat to low.

- Add seafood sauce and oyster sauce, and continue to stir-fry over low heat.

- Once you smell the aroma, add the beef and star anise, stir well, then turn up the heat.

- Add light soy sauce along the edge of the pan, add salt, and stir-fry for two minutes.

- Add 800 ml of boiling water

- Add rock sugar

- Add sesame paste. You can taste the broth and add salt as needed.

- After mixing well, pour the ingredients into an enameled pot and cook over medium heat for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

- After 1 hour and 20 minutes, add the chopped radish and cook for another 40 minutes.

- After 40 minutes, pour back into the pot, remove the star anise, and reduce the sauce over high heat.

- Skim off the surface oil

- Done!
