Ingredients

Red bean
210 G
Rice flour
30 G
Tapioca starch
70 G
Slab sugar (amount depends on your preference of the sweetness of the cake)
70 G
Brown sugar (optional - for sweetening the red beans)
500 Ml
Water (another 500ml for boiling red beans )
Steps
Wash red bean and soak overnight
Discard soaked bean water. Boil red bean with about 500ml of water for about 30 minutes.
The red beans are done when they can be meshed as shown.
Add brown sugar to the beans and mix thoroughly before turning off the heat. Keep the lid covered for 10 minutes.
Mix rice flour and tapioca starch thoroughly
Dissolve sugar in 500ml boiling water.
Pour sugar water to the flour mixture and mix.
Add red bean and mix.
Oil cake tin. Pour red bean mixture into the tin. Put the tin onto the steamer and steam for 15 minutes.
Take out the tin and cool at room temperature.
Unmold and can be served right away or chill in the refrigerator for a while before serving.
