- Soak peanuts in water for about 3 hours.

- Soak the dried squid in clean water the night before.

- Slice the ginger and set aside.

- Add cold water, ginger slices, cooking wine, peppercorns, and cleaned pork bones to the pot. Boil for 5 minutes after the water boils. Remove from the pot, clean, and set aside.

- Wash the soaked squid and cut into pieces for later use.

- Peel and cut lotus root into pieces and set aside.
