Saffron Pan un Chocolate
Make an effortlessly chic Pan con Chocolate with Saffron in no time! Using puff pastry rolls as your shortcut, this treat combines rich chocolate and a hint of luxurious saffron for a unique twist. Quick, easy, and impressively delicious—perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 Puff Pastry Roll

- 100 g Dark Chocolate

- 1 tsp Grounded Saffron

- 1 tsp Grounded Cinnamon

- 1 tsp Butter

- 1 Egg Yolk

- 1 spoon Milk

Steps
- Preparation
- Grab a tea spoon full of butter

- Using microwave for 20 seconds, melt the butter

- Add the Cinnamon to the Butter

- Mix them well

- Add and mix half tea spoon of Saffron to the mix

- Process
- Lay out the roll from the packaging

- Spread the Mix on the Puff Pastry

- Break the Chocolates into small square sizes.

- Place the Chocolate in rows of parallel at the top and bottom of the pastry

- Using a knife 🔪 , cut down in straight line in between each Chocolate to make Columns

- Make sure eache column is separated from each other

- Start rolling each Column inwards from both Chocolate ends

- Roll untill they meet in the middle

- Flip the upside down

- Place them on oven tray and make sure there are enough spaces between them.

- In the same dish you used for the mix, add the rest of Saffron, add milk, and the egg Yolk

- Cover the top of the Pastries with the new mix

- Don't put too much and don't be too shy to put the mix, just enough to cover the top. If it spill over, it's okay.

- Place the tray in the oven.

- Remove from Oven when the top layer is Golden / Brown-ish

- Serve them warm, can survive up to 3 days.

- [Optional] Leftovers
- If you have leftovers from your Egg Mix, add another egg and mix well. With the new mix, you can make Omelette 😉
